Well! The Satellite Club had an exciting final meeting for 2018. We decided to support the Stamp collecting project for End Trachoma by 2020, drew some crazy Christmas trees behind our backs in Jo’s Fun Spot and discussed supporting a Literacy program in 2019... all great items. However, the moment to remember was Leeanne’s 30 second sprint up the stairs at the RSL to win a cool $500 (with 1 second to go!) What a birthday gift. Leeanne’s comments included “ I knew I could make it - I go to the gym every week😊” and “ Now Mario won’t mind me going out to meetings all the time😉” Congrats Leeanne and Happy Birthday for 13th. See picture below.
I repeat the story from last week re the Interact club as the pictures did not show in the version sent out. Satellite and Interact Clubs are putting in a big effort to End Trachoma in Australian indigenous communities.
Monday Club meeting was at the Men's Shed to see the progress they have made with setting up equipment etc since their inception. Thanks to Jim Barnes for organising before his departure to laze about on the high seas- hope Owen is not causing too much havoc. Thanks also to all who provided food and the Men's Shed for hosting us.
