From the President
The first month of my presidency has been very hectic with lots of events happening. Given this is our first bulletin since Changeover I would like to thank Jim Baxter for guiding us through 2021-22. and welcome the new Board. The main areas of focus for the year will be community well-being and collaboration with other service organisations.
There is a busy six months ahead of us. Having completed our Pride of Workmanship Awards Presentation Dinner and July's Ageing Well Seniors Morning Tea and a big night behind the bar at the Amy Shark Concert we have a number of other events in the next few weeks and more to come before the end of the year.
Dementia Friendly Stanthorpe , initiated by our Club, was featured in the DGs newsletter.
A large collection of toys and books has been donated by the Stanthorpe community to go to Lismore. Unfortunately delivery has been on hold until the Rotary Clubs in the area are in a position to receive these items. We have scheduled a convoy to take the items to Lismore on Thursday September 8.
I am looking forward to working with my fellow Club members in 22-23
