Another Opera in the Vineyard come and gone and thanks to the many helpers who turned up during the week prior or for the event and cleanup. A special thanks to the Interact Club members who put in a big effort. Though there were a few teething problems with the changed evening format it was a good learning exercise and as Tom Hodgson was heard to say, "You can't make a cake without cracking eggs". Opera singers performed well as did our young local talent Tahlia Karena, ably accompanied by Morwenna. The Cocktail bar staff with the three "Bond Girls" were stunning, as were the decorations. The Giving Tree and Diamond fundraisers for Humming Bird and End Trachoma were most successful easily selling out their tickets. Thanks to Tessa, Marie and the other young people who sold the Drought Raindrops and Ann and her crew selling Trachoma Mirrors along with their other duties. We will wait with interest to seen the financial results. See web page for pictures as I am not smart enough to import them to thew bulletin without wrecking the format.
