  1.

1.1Requirement

Provide supervision for Igloo Building and the Snowfield.
Also includes getting igloo blocks from shipping container at the showgrounds on Saturday morning and returning them to the container on Sunday afternoon. (2000 blocks)

1.2Provider          Rotary Club Stanthorpe Apple and Grape Entrant Karma O’Rielly

1.3Equipment

Ute
Brooms and dustpans

1.4Plan

Igloo Blocks - Inside marquee
  1. Saturday morning..
    1. Collect all igloo blocks from the container at the showgrounds and put in marquee in the arena
    2. Best to use a ute for this, with tub or maybe a high sided trailer.
    3. Setup complete by 9am

  1. Saturday and Sunday
    1. Supervise igloo building (only 1 supervisor needed)
    2. Direct contact with first aid
    3. Clean igloo building activity at end of day
    4. Saturday afternoon finishes about 6.  You can start packing the blocks into a corner and sweep up any mess on the ground.
  2. Sunday afternoon
    1. Finishes at 2pm
    2. Collect all igloo blocks and stack them back into the container. Clean up the area of the activity.  Sweep and Roll up carpet and take to container
    3. The blocks go to the back of the container, so getting them in ASAP will allow for all other packing to begin also.

Snowfield
  1. Saturday and Sunday
    1. Provide supervision duties to ensure safety on the snowfield
    2. Direct contact with first aid
    3. There is an under 8’s area and a main area, divided by the McDonalds blowup.
    4. We need to ensure that snowballs are thrown safely and everyone plays fair.
    5. We need to ensure that when the snow is being made (topped up during the day) that people on the snowfield are at a safe distance.
    6. I would think this would need 5 people at a time on Saturday and maybe less on Sunday
    7. This is a COLD job, so dress in layers!
